Dried Petals
Have you used flowers at a special occasion or event recently? Are you looking for a fun way to hold on to some of your precious memories? One great way to preserve your flowers—along with your memories of your event—is to use dried petals. So many of the events we attend have beautiful flowers. Why not hold on to some of them and use the petals for dried petals?
Dried petals and flowers can be used in a variety of ways, including wreaths, swags, bouquets, potpourri, and table arrangements. But no matter how you choose to use your dried petals and flowers, there are a few simple rules you should follow when caring for them. Your petals should not be placed in direct sunlight—unless you want them to fade extra quickly! You should also monitor the environment in which you place your petals; placing them near heat ducts or cold air returns can damage their quality. When needed, you can also dust your dried petals with a duster or hair dryer.
If you are planning on storing any of your dried petals, it is recommended that you wrap them in newspaper to avoid moisture accumulation. The temperature of where you store them is not important; just make sure that the petals aren’t exposed to moisture or rodents and you can store your flowers indoors or outdoors.
But no matter what you do with your dried petals, you will sure to be glad that you have them to remember all of your special occasions!
