Dried Floral Arrangements
Dried floral arrangements can be used in a variety of ways, including wreaths, swags, bouquets, and table arrangements, and are always a stylish way to decorate or spruce up a home or office. And though there are a variety of ways to utilize your dried floral arrangements, there are only a few simple ways to care for them. First, your should keep dried floral arrangements out of direct sunlight to ensure that there won’t be any additional color fading. You should also monitor the environment in which you place your flowers; placing them near heat ducts or cold air returns can damage their quality. If needed, you can also dust your dried flowers with a duster or hair dryer.
When you are choosing flowers to use in dried flower arrangements, choose flowers that aren’t too delicate, as overly delicate flowers will not preserve well and may crumble. Thicker, higher quality flowers will preserve the best and will last the longest. Most flowers are air dried and the thickness and water content of the different flowers will affect how long they take to dry. When storing your flowers, it is recommended that you wrap them in newspaper to avoid moisture accumulation. The temperature of where you store them is not important; just make sure that the flowers aren’t exposed to moisture or rodents and you can store your flowers indoors or outdoors. If your dried flower arrangements get dirty or need to be cleaned, the best thing to do is to blow them off with a hair dryer.
